Why We Built This Site
Indiana permits broad public access to nonconfidential court information, but the custodian depends on what is needed. Michelle Shelton, Scott County Clerk, maintains the official Chronological Case Summary and files for Scott Circuit and Superior Courts. Those courts schedule hearings and enter rulings. MyCase provides statewide public Odyssey information for court codes 72C01 and 72D01, yet it is not the official record. We organize the verified search routes, court codes, contacts, and request steps that connect those distinct sources.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: ways to read Scott County criminal court dockets and civil court dockets
- Court settings: how to check the court schedule and confirm a hearing with the assigned court
- Case lookups: how to run a docket search by name or cause number in MyCase
- Record requests: how to obtain court case records or certified copies from the Scott County Clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site with no affiliation to an Indiana court, clerk, or public agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve official docket sheets or court files
- We cannot set, reset, or confirm a hearing
- We cannot seal, remove, or amend a case entry
- We do not issue certified records or orders
- We cannot give legal advice about a specific matter
- We cannot promise that a fee, contact, or setting has not changed
An official or certified Scott County docket or court record must come from the Scott County Clerk or the court that maintains the case.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not determine the provider’s charges or search output.
